There was no change in the animal licensing fees. Fees should be increased to help with resident education and enforcement activities. A comprehensive animal ordinance should be considered. Some pet owners do not follow basic requirements including not leashing pets, not cleaning up after pets and not licensing pets. This may be lack of knowledge of requirements and/or lack of enforcement of policies putting the City at risk. A comprehensive ordinance will provide clarity on requirements.
